Community guidelines

Last updated 25 October 2026

Activo exists so people can find others who love the same things and go do them together — often meeting in person. That makes safety and good faith part of the product, not an afterthought.

These guidelines apply everywhere on Activo: posts, photos, comments, circle messages, direct messages, profiles, activity listings and challenges. They apply to everyone, including operators.

What we expect

What is not allowed

Harassment and hate

Threats, intimidation, stalking, sexual harassment, or repeated unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop. Attacks on people because of their religion, origin, gender, disability or any other part of who they are.

Sexual content

Nudity, sexual content and sexually suggestive material. Activo is not the place for it. Any sexual content involving a minor is reported to the authorities and the account is removed permanently and immediately.

Violence and danger

Content that threatens, celebrates or encourages violence or self-harm. Activities designed to put participants at serious risk without disclosure, supervision or consent.

Scams, spam and misuse

Fake listings, activities you have no intention of running, taking payment for something that does not exist, pyramid schemes, bulk unsolicited messages, or using circles and challenges to advertise unrelated things.

Illegal activity

Anything unlawful under Egyptian law, including the sale of drugs, weapons or stolen goods, and any activity that requires a permit or licence you do not hold.

Minors

Activo is for people aged 13 and over. Adults must not use Activo to contact minors they do not know.

If you see something

Report it. Every post, profile and message has a Report option. Choose the reason that fits, and add anything we should know. Reports are read by a person, not only by a system, and we do not tell the other party who reported them.

Block them. Blocking is immediate and does not wait for us. A blocked person cannot see your profile, message you, or join activities you are hosting.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services first. Then tell us.

What happens after a report

We aim to review every report within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may:

Do nothingNot everything reported breaks a rule. Disagreement is not harassment.
Remove the contentAnd tell the person which guideline it crossed.
Warn the accountA first, non-serious breach usually gets one.
Suspend the accountTemporary. The person can use Activo again afterwards.
Remove the accountPermanent. For serious breaches, or repeated ones after a warning.
Revoke operator statusAn operator who misleads or endangers participants stops being an operator, whatever else happens to their account.

Serious breaches — anything involving a minor, credible threats of violence, or fraud — skip the warning entirely.

If we get it wrong

If your content was removed or your account was actioned and you think that was a mistake, write to us from the support page or from Contact us inside the app. Tell us what happened. A different person reviews appeals, and we will tell you the outcome either way.

A note on meeting in person

Most of what happens on Activo ends with people meeting somewhere real. We do not screen individual participants, and we cannot vouch for anyone you meet. Use ordinary judgment:

Operators are reviewed before they can list. Reviewed is not the same as guaranteed.
